Kristopher Jansma is the author of the novels Why We Came to the City (Viking, 2016; Penguin Books reprint edition, 2017) and The Unchangeable Spots of Leopards (Penguin Books, 2013), winner of the Sherwood Anderson Foundation Fiction Award. His work appears in Chicago Quarterly Review, ZYZZYVA, The Believer, Prairie Schooner, and Electric Literature.
