The editors invite submissions of fiction, short plays, poetry, photo essays, and literary nonfiction in traditional and experimental styles:

FICTION: Short stories, short novellas and novel excerpts in traditional and experimental styles (generally not exceeding 70 pages/18,000 words).

POETRY: Poems in traditional and experimental styles but no light verse (up to 6 poems).

DRAMA: Short plays in traditional and experimental styles (generally not exceeding 50 pages).

NONFICTION: Literary nonfiction in traditional and experimental styles (generally not exceeding 70 pages/18,000 words).

PHOTO ESSAYS: Query us before submitting.

*Although we try to reply within 4 to 12 weeks, sometimes the review process takes longer. If you do not hear from us after 4 weeks, please do not hesitate to query us about the status of your manuscript.

Submission Windows

Dates for Submission Windows for the first half 2024 will be announced in early January.

NONFICTION: February 9 to February 23

POETRY: March 9 to March 22

FICTION: April 12 to April 26

PHYSICAL SUBMISSIONS: We DO NOT accept mailed submissions at this time.
