About the Cover
Alaska’s only extant maritime historic site, McKay’s Marine Ways, was built in 1923 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Located in the Tongass Narrows in southeast Alaska, it was used by high-masted halibut schooners and modern-day salmon seiners.
